Formulating a medium- on long-term information planning plan based on management policy

Background and Issues

There was no full-time person in charge of information systems, and a partially optimal information system that reflected all user's requests based on the opinions of the site and proposals from the development vendor was introduced sequentially, and it was not possible to cope with the expansion of the enterprise scale, and it was an environment of the information system which was difficult to repair. Therefore, it was necessary to formulate a plan to build the optimal information system for the entire company in accordance with the management policy.

Results obtained

The issues in both the business and information systems were sorted out, and the content of the measures and their priorities and importance were evaluated. As a result, we were able to develop a roadmap for reviewing our business over a medium- to long-term (three-year period), establishing an information technology promotion system, and introducing information systems to achieve the best possible for the entire company.
