Construction of production management system for group companies using production management package

We introduced a production management package for group company factories of large-scale assembly manufacturers as a core system. Then we narrowed down the scope to the line-of-business area and based on the concept of a simple functional specification/data model system. Then, we built a local system for each company and clarified the separation from the core system. For this reason, we have facilitated cooperation with local systems with a rich external interface.

Construction of production management system for group companies using production management package

Background and Issues

As a result of the group companies' efforts to systematize each of them, there were situations in which it took time and effort to manage across the board of funds and cost control, which hindered the execution of business operations. It was required to standardize from the data generated and to manage it by consistent standards from upstream to downstream.

Results obtained

By introducing a line-of-business system, line-of-business flows have been standardized, enabling uniform data sharing between groups, thereby reducing costs and reducing delivery times between groups.

Furthermore, by functional separation and division of the system, it is possible to realize the introduction of an easy local system at each company and each factory, and the timely application of the modification correspondence
